TITANIC HERITAGE TRUST
The Second ‘Jack Grimm’ Expedition
Grimm's second attempt at locating the Titanic was in June 1981 using the Gyre, which was equipped with a superior magnetometer. The expedition revisited the previously located potential 14 targets.
The targets were ruled out one by one, discovering what is today referred to as "Titanic Canyon“ the expedition concluded with the sighting of what was thought to be a propeller off a ship the size of Titanic, but it was impossible to confirm that it really was from the great ship. |
